Lichen Planus

£0.00

This does appear to be an image of lichen planus. This is a chronic inflammatory T-cell mediated autoimmune disorder. The inflammatory cells attack an unknown protein within the skin and mucosal keratinocytes. In this image, there are polygonal looking plaques in the right leg with some overlying scale in some of them. There are some hyper pigmented polygonal plaques on the foot. On darker skin, the appearance of these plaques do not necessarily have to be purple, they can appear darker.
